  • Our services are available to adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities who are approved for the Virginia Medicaid Developmental Disability (DD) Waiver and have an authorized service plan.

  • No. At this time, I am Me Services only provides services to individuals who are approved for the Virginia Medicaid Developmental Disability (DD) Waiver and have an authorized service authorization through their Support Coordinator.

  • The Virginia Developmental Disability (DD) Waiver is a Medicaid program that provides funding for services and supports for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. These services help individuals live and participate in their communities while receiving the support they need.

  • To apply for the DD Waiver, you must contact your local Community Services Board (CSB). The CSB will complete an assessment to determine eligibility and place individuals on the waiver waitlist if they qualify.

  • A Support Coordinator helps individuals and families access waiver services, develop the Individual Support Plan (ISP), and connect with approved service providers.

  • Individuals or families can contact us directly, or a referral can be made by a Support Coordinator. Once a referral is received, we will work with the Support Coordinator to determine whether services are a good fit.

  • Yes. We welcome referrals from Support Coordinators, families, guardians, and community partners.

  • I am Me Services is located in Hopewell, Virginia and provides services in all of Region 4.

  • Community Coaching is a service that provides individualized support to help individuals develop independence, build life skills, and participate in activities within their community based on the goals in their Individual Support Plan (ISP).
